(VOVworld) - The NATO defense Chiefs discussed the readiness action plan and the future of the “Resolute Support” mission in Afghanistan during the just concluded 2-day meeting in Brussels. Participants agreed on stronger cooperation with strategic military partners and military guidance for 2015.

General Knud Bartels, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, told reporters after the meeting that NATO is facing threats caused by diplomatic, military, and political fluctuations on the eastern and southern flanks of the alliance. Over the past 2 days, NATO Mediterranean dialogue partners (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Mauritania, Morocco, and Tunisia) provided allies with invaluable insights into regional security challenges and agreed to strengthen military cooperation.
