Natural disasters cause economic loss of more than 800 million USD in 2022
(VOVWORLD) - Natural disasters caused economic loss worth nearly 830 million USD in 2022, up 3.4 times from the loss recorded in the previous year, according to a conference of the national steering committee for natural disaster prevention and control on Thursday.

Also, 175 persons were killed or went missing during natural disasters last year.
Since the beginning of this year, seven persons have died or gone missing during natural disasters, while economic loss amounted to nearly 1 million USD.
Most recently, a heatwave brought temperature to a record high in the northern province of Hoa Binh in late March.
