New daily COVID cases in Vietnam continue to decrease
(VOVWORLD) -From 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the National System of COVID-19 Case Management recorded 2,758 new domestic infections, a decrease of 96 cases compared to the previous day, in 53 out of 63 provinces and cities.
Nearly 2,600 patients recovered during the day, bringing the total number of recoveries to more than 9.3 million. In the past 24 hours, Vietnam recorded only 2 deaths from COVID-19. Since the onset of the pandemic, COVID-19 caseload in Vietnam has reached more than 10.6 million.
As of Wednesday, the country has administered more than 216 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine. The basic dose coverage rate for people 18 years of age and older is 100%. Coverage rates of first and second doses for children from 12 to 17 years old are 100% and 96.4%, respectively.
