New Zealand businesses donate fruit boxes to children, women in Ho Chi Minh City
(VOVWORLD) -New Zealand’s Consulate General and fruit exporters presented 500 boxes of fruit to charities for children and women at a ceremony at Lucky Village, Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City, on Wednesday.

Joe Nelson, Consulate General of New Zealand in Ho Chi Minh City cum Commercial Counselor of the New Zealand Trade Promotion Organization, said the donation of fresh fruit will help improve nutrition for children and women who are living and working at charity organizations in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
The fruit will be delivered to Operation Smile, which provides free surgery for children and teenagers with cleft lip, cleft palate and other abnormalities of the face, the Center for Support for Education Development and Integration in Tan Binh District, which looks after 150 mentally retarded children and children with disabilities, and teaches them life skills and vocational training.
