New Zealand to add strategy for Peace into core cooperation with ASEAN
(VOVWORLD) - New Zealand treasures the cooperation with ASEAN and commits to supporting ASEAN’s central role in the region and active participation in ASEAN-led mechanisms, said the 7th ASEAN-New Zealand Joint Cooperation Committee in Jakarta, Indonesia on Friday.

At the meeting, New Zealand informed that it will add a Strategy for Peace into core cooperation with ASEAN, together with Strategies for the People and for Prosperity. New Zealand pledged to help build the ASEAN Community, realize the ASEAN Vision 2025, narrow development gap, and contribute to maintaining peace and stability in the East Sea.
The ASEAN-New Zealand Joint Cooperation Committee is an annual Ambassadors meeting to review and promote measures to boost projects and cooperative activities between both sides. The Vietnamese delegation in this year’s meeting was led by Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Vietnam to ASEAN Tran Duc Binh.
