Ngoc Hoi-Dong Da victory celebrated in HCMC
(VOVWORLD) - An art program was held at Tao Dan Park, Ho Chi Minh City, on Tuesday night to mark the 229th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi-Dong Da victory against Chinese Qing invaders.

Artists of the Tran Huu Trang Cai Luong Theater re-enacted the Vietnamese people’s struggles against foreign invaders and the Ngoc Hoi-Dong Da victory in which half a million Qing troops were defeated in the spring of 1789.
Bui Thi Mai, a resident of District 4, Ho Chi Minh City, said: “The program recalled how our ancestors defended and built the nation. We need to remember this and continue to uphold the awareness on national defense.”
