Nguyen Tieu Festival celebrated in Ho Chi Minh City
(VOVWORLD) - Crowds of people gathered on Tuesday in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 5 to attend the Nguyen Tieu Festival, a celebration held by the Chinese community of Cho Lon on the 15th day of the first lunar month.

A parade, a dragon dance, a fan dance, traditional art, and ancient Tuong performances are part of this festival.
Quach Trung Hieu, Director of District 5’s Culture Center, said: “We are applying to have District 5’s Nguyen Tieu Festival recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. This year more than 25,000 people participated in the festival’s flower and lantern activities.”
