(VOVWORLD) - The northern province of Ninh Binh hopes to receive seven million visitors this year as it hosts Vietnam’s National Tourism Year.

Director of the provincial Tourism Department Bui Van Manh said the province will ask travel agencies to implement stimulus activities, improve service quality, and ensure security, environmental sanitation, and COVID-19 prevention and control.
The province is planning to host Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2021, improve the Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourism site, and organize promotional travel seminars at home and abroad.
Ninh Binh welcomed more than 32,000 visitors during the three-day New Year weekend, according to the Department. Most of them visited the Trang An Landscape Complex, Cuc Phuong national park, and the Van Long submerged natural reserve.
