(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s national count of COVID-19 cases remains at 1,100 as no new infections were reported on Friday afternoon.

The country has gone more than one month with no new domestic transmissions.
The latest case, confirmed Thursday, was a 29-year-old Vietnamese man who returned from Russia last month and was quarantined upon arrival.
To date, 1,023 patients have recovered, while 35 COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded.
