North Korea wants direct talks with US
(VOVWORLD) - North Korea wants to negotiate directly with the US on security assurances for Pyongyang, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday.

Lavrov said he conveyed the message to US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on the sidelines of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) meeting in Austria. Russia supports such negotiations, Lavrov added.
US State Department spokesperson Katina Adams said that Washington is pursuing a peaceful diplomatic solution for the North Korea issue.
