(VOVworld) – North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was elected Chairman of the newly-created State Affairs Commission at the 4th meeting of the 13th Supreme People’s Assembly on Wednesday.

The new agency replaces the National Defense Commission, of which Kim was Chairman since 2012. Kim is currently Chairman of the Workers’ Party and Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army.
