Numerous Parliaments support Vietnam’s policy on the East Sea
(VOVworld)- The National Assembly’s External Relations Committee has reviewed its last term’s performance during a workshop in Nha Trang. The committee chief Tran Van Hang praised expanding relations between the Vietnamese legislative bodies and their international counterparts, gaining their support for Vietnam’s struggle in national sovereignty and territorial integrity: “The committee has advised the National Assembly on the issuance of communiqués about the East Sea. In compliance with the Law on the Sea, Vietnam has defined its sovereignty in Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes. The committee has sent letters to 166 members of the Inter Parliamentary Union clarifying Vietnam’s view on the East Sea. Numerous parliaments have held parades and issued communiqués supporting Vietnam’s view as well as sea and islands sovereignty.”
