(VOVworld) – US President Barack Obama has warned the US Congress of risks if it rejects the Iran nuclear deal.

Speaking at the American University in Washington DC on Wednesday, he said Congressional rejection of this deal will accelerate Iran’s ambition for a nuclear weapon.
He said using force will only push Iran closer to the development of nuclear facilities hidden in mountains or underground. Obama criticised Republicans who are pressing forward with legislation to block the accord, saying that the opposition to the agreement stems from “knee-jerk partisanship.”
