One billion will be added to world’s population by 2030
(VOVWORLD) - The world’s population will rise by a billion in the next 13 years, according to a United Nations report released on Wednesday.

The total will grow from 7.6 billion to 8.6 billion by 2030 and reach 9.8 billion by 2050, and 11.2 billion by 2100, the UN predicted. World population is rising at the rate of 83 million people a year. China and India remain the world's two most populous countries. India's population could surpass that of China's by 2024.
The UN forecasts that from now through 2050 half the world's population growth will be concentrated in nine countries: India, Nigeria, Congo, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Tanzania, the United States, Uganda, and Indonesia.
