The woman, who works as a house helper for a family in Beirut, had an arm broken by falling objects as a result of the blast. She is receiving treatment in stable health condition.

According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt and Lebanon Tran Thanh Cong, approximately 50 Vietnamese live in Lebanon, mostly in Beirut.

Ambassador Cong told VOV, “We quickly reviewed the number of Vietnamese nationals affected by the blast to come up with citizen protection measures if necessary. We contacted the Lebanese Government and Foreign Ministry and the Vietnamese Consulate General in Beirut to closely follow the Vietnamese community there and offer them sympathy and support.  I will be in Lebanon to directly handle emergency cases if there is any.”

A powerful warehouse explosion shook the capital Beirut on Tuesday, killing 100 people and injuring nearly 4,000 in a toll that officials expected to rise, according to Reuters.
