(VOVworld) - An online meeting to discuss the development of a safe and friendly tourism industry has been held on the Vietnamese government website.

Nguyen Van Tuan, General Director of Vietnam Administration of Tourism, as well as local leaders and tourist agencies, answered questions and analyzed the difficulties facing localities and enterprises in improving the competitiveness of Vietnam’s tourism. Regarding the Government’s directive on strengthening the management of the tourism environment, Mr. Tuan said that after one year of implementation local authorities had responded well to it and had established hot lines in key areas. He asked localities to promote communication and links between areas to further develop tourism.
