Online public services help save money for people and businesses: PM

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said on Friday that the use of national online public services contributes to saving money for people and businesses and fighting petty corruption as service providers and users do not meet face to face. He added the online public services will also help combating the Covid-19 as contacts are restricted and cash is not used.

At an online meeting in Hanoi on Friday to review the 3-month operation of the National Public Service Portal and announce an additional 11 services on the Portal, the Prime Minister urged local leaders to facilitate people and businesses’ access to the Portal. He applauded efforts of ministries, sectors, localities, and economic groups for their direct contributions to providing the services and urged them to protect personal data of users.

Prime Minister Phuc asked for a further reduction of administrative procedures and business costs and finalize the national demographic database.

The Ministry of Information and Communications was required to soon operate a system to monitor e-Government to measure how much the online public services have been used.
