(VOVworld)- On Wednesday, National Assembly Standing Committee deputies discussed the draft Law on career soldiers and national defense employees. The draft law stipulates the position and functions of professional soldiers and national defense employees. The deputies agreed on the need to issue the law to comply with the Constitution in regard to the National Assembly’s authority in determining the system of the rankings and titles and rights and obligation of professional soldiers and national defense employees. The issuance of the law will ensure the uniformity between legal documents in this regard, so contributing to the strengthening of the Vietnam People’s Army. Also that day, deputies discussed the implementation of policies and laws on the combination of socio-economic development and national defense in the northwestern, Central Highlands, and southern regions.
