(VOVworld)- The Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs and the Vietnam News Agency jointly organized a ceremony in Hanoi on Saturday to honour 111 outstanding students of various ethnic minority groups

In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised teachers for their efforts and devotion to the students. Phuc said: “The Ministry of Education and Training needs to pay more attention to teachers working in remote and mountain areas because it is a decisive factor to improve the education quality for ethnic minority people. Local Party committees and administrations need to consider it a key factor to promote sustainable growth and reduce poverty. Without a good human resource, especially without younger generation, it’s difficult to sustainably escape poverty”.
