(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health held a ceremony on Thursday to honor 51 outstanding female intellectuals in medical sector on the occasion of International Women's Day, March 8.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha commended the contributions of female intellectuals to the medical sector, and expressed his belief that the honorees will contribute more to the medical sector and the community.

Dr. Pham Thu Xanh, Director of Hai Phong International Hospital for Obstetrics and Pediatrics, is among the honorees.
She said: “It’s a previous gift for every individual, including female intellectuals, to be recognized and honored by the State, the medical sector, and society. It will be the motivation for us to continue to work and dedicate ourselves to deserve that honor.”
