(VNA) – 67 students who got the highest scores in the recent university entrance exams and others outstanding students at international and national contests have been honored at the Hanoi National University.

The Poinsettia award event has been held annually since 2008 by the Ministry of Education and Training to honor students and pupils who successfully overcome difficulties to have the best academic results. The award not only aims to honor but also to connect Vietnam’s young talents and intellectuals in the knowledge-based world. At the event, Deputy Director of the Hanoi National University Nguyen Kim Son said the Poinsettia is a symbol of the academic achievement in Vietnam, so the award is very meaningful and popular.
