Over 111 million COVID-19 cases confirmed worldwide
(VOVWORLD) - According to worldometers.info, as of Sunday morning, the world has confirmed 111.6 million COVID-19 infection cases, with 2.5 million deaths.

The US remains the world’s epicenter with 28.7 million COVID-19 infections and more than 500,000 deaths, followed by India and Brazil.
Polish Health Minister Adam Niedzielski said Saturday that Poland may announce tighter restrictions next week in border areas with the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Jordan delayed resuming some businesses as infections count has risen dramatically. The Jordanian Education Ministry announced the 2nd phase of school reopening but 10th and 11th graders will stay home for 1 more week.
As of Saturday, 200 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been used in more than 100 countries and territories. About 45% of vaccine doses have been administered in G7 countries where 10% of the world population live. G7 members on Friday promised to further share vaccines with other countries. The vaccination statistics do not include statistics from China and Russia, which have stopped declaring the statistics of COVID-19 vaccination in recent days. Nearly half of the Israeli population have been vaccinated.
