Over 2.6 million people receive social security support
(VOVWORLD) - The Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs reported that over the past two days, an addition of 40,000 people and households received financial support with a total amount of nearly 8 billion VND.

So far the city has spent more than 1 trillion VND to help about 2.6 million people, households, and business establishments. Funding comes from many sources, including 804 billion VND from the government’s social security support package and Hanoi’s specific policies.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Dan, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs said: “Districts and towns in the city have basically supported the right people and targeted groups. For people living in travel restricted areas under epidemic prevention and control rules, the local authorities have implemented creative ways to support people at home or coming to specific places to receive support.”
The beneficiaries included self-employed people and those coming from other provinces. Under the Government’s support package, Hanoi has more than 138,000 eligible self-employed workers with a total amount of 208 billion VND.
