(VOVWORLD) - More than 40 countries around the world have provided or pledged aid to help India battle its second wave of COVID-19.

According to the White House, three special flights from the US will carry 1,000 oxygen generating equipment, 1,700 oxygen concentrators, 15 million face masks, and 1 million COVID-19 test kits to India.
Raw materials to produce more than 20 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, and 20,000 doses of Remdesivir for critical patients are also included.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, and Kuwait have also sent liquid oxygen and oxygen cylinders to India.
As of Friday morning, India had reported more than 18.7 million infections and more than 200,000 deaths, according to worldometers.info.
