Overseas Vietnamese celebrate Lunar New Year

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan organized a meeting to celebrate Lunar New Year 2018 on Saturday.

Speaking to overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese people working and studying in Japan, Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong reviewed major development of Vietnam-Japan ties in 2017 and exchanges of high-ranking visits in order to boost the extensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

A Tet celebration was also held in Fukuoka city by the Vietnam General Consulate and the Vietnam Students and Youth Association.

The Vietnamese embassy in Russia organized an art program at the Hanoi Moscow Trade Center to celebrate the Lunar New Year and the Party’s founding anniversary. Mr. Pham Vu Quang has lived in Russia for more than 20 years: “To mark the occasion of the New Year, the Vietnamese Embassy and the Incentra Trade Center organize this program. We are very excited with such programs which feature Vietnamese culture. We particularly like Cheo theater. These program remind us of our homeland.”

The Vietnamese Embassy in Australia organized a Tet gathering on Saturday at the Art Center in Canberra.
