(VOVworld)- This year conference gathering overseas Vietnamese to open this Friday in HCM City. The 4-day event takes place under the theme “Overseas Vietnamese join hands for Ho Chi Minh City’s rapid and sustainable development and international integration”.

Permanent Deputy Head of the city’s committee for overseas Vietnamese affairs, Tran Hoa Phuong:“The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, the Foreign Ministry and Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee have cooperated in the organization of the event to ensure efficiency. We welcome overseas Vietnamese’s opinions and recommendations to ensure the city’s role as a spearhead municipality for rapid and sustainable development and international integration.”
 

500 delegates from 36 countries and territories are expected to join the event. Nguyen Van Dung represents the Vietnamese businesses community in the US:“This will be an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese to meet as we all wish to return and invest in our homeland. We will discuss potential industries with advanced technology to promote economic growth.”

The Prime Minister is expected to meet overseas Vietnamese during the event on Saturday.
