Overseas Vietnamese eye investment in Vietnam’s semiconductor industry
(VOVWORLD) -The overseas Vietnamese business community wants to cooperate with and invest in Vietnam, focusing on chip manufacturing, semiconductors, and commodity export, said Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese (BAOOV).

The association’s chairman, Nguyen Hong Hue, on Saturday revealed plans for overseas Vietnamese to invest in Vietnam’s semiconductor industry.
According to the National Semiconductor Industry Strategy, by 2030, Vietnam will become a center for the semiconductor chip industry with activities including design, packaging, and testing.
Therefore, BAOOV is actively preparing to support training of human resources. Details of programs to support human resource development and a call for investment in the semiconductor industry in Vietnam will soon be announced, said Hue.
BAOOV was established in 2009. Its members are from 40 countries and territories and tens of thousands of businesses.
