(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese community in France celebrated the Lunar New Year at a ceremony on Saturday in Baltard Palace on the outskirts of Paris.

The event was co-organized by the Vietnamese Association in France and the Vietnam Cultural Center. Ngo Kim Hung, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in France reviewed the activities to preserve Vietnamese cultural values: classes on the Vietnamese language and traditional musical instruments, support for Vietnamese flood victims, and defense of Vietnam’s sea and island sovereignty. Representatives of Vietnamese and French organizations discussed ways to foster relations between the two countries.
