(VOVworld) -  Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Thanh Son paid a working visit to the US and Canada to encourage overseas Vietnamese to promote cooperation between these two countries and Vietnam.

Mr. Son, who is also Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, met with US local leaders, business people, and overseas Vietnamese in New York, Houston city of Texas, and San Francisco and Orange county of California. Overseas Vietnamese expressed their wish to invest and do business in Vietnam. They urged the Committee to further promote its role to connect business opportunities and support them in administrative and legal procedures. Overseas Vietnamese representatives said they wanted to be a bridge to boost economic and trade relations between American businesses and Vietnamese partners.
