OVs in Japan show deep respect to Party General Secretary

(VOVWORLD) - Overseas Vietnamese in Japan expressed their deep affection for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who passed away last Friday.

Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of the Federation of Vietnamese Associations in Japan, said that the Vietnamese community in Japan has special admiration, strong impressions and affection for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, a leader who had dedicated all his life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and people.
“The recent awarding of the Gold Star Order, the highest honor of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to Party leader Trong is the recognition of the Party and State for his great contributions to the nation,” said Son.
Professor Tran Dang Xuan of Hiroshima University, who is Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Experts’ Association, said that General Secretary Trong is a leader not only beloved by all Vietnamese people, but admired by peace-lovers around the world.
“General Secretary Trong is a shining example for scientists for his tireless working spirit,” said Professor Xuan, adding, “Thanks to his contributions, Vietnam’s position is rising in the world. His death is an extremely great loss. The Vietnamese nation will definitely develop and prosper and Vietnamese people will always be grateful to the General Secretary.”
