Pakistan does not want to confront India

(VOVworld) – The Pakistani Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, said on Thursday that Pakistan was fully capable of responding to Indian aggression at the Line of Control (Loc) and its working boundary.

In a statement, Asif said Pakistan did not want an atmosphere of confrontation on the borders of the two neighboring nuclear states. Pakistan's defense minister stressed that India should show responsibility and exercise restraint. Earlier, India's Defense Minister accused Pakistan of adventurism, threatening there would be a heavy price to pay for this.

On the same day, UN Chief Ban Ki-moon expressed concern over escalating tension along the Line of Control between India and Pakistan, which had caused causing casualties and loss. He urged the Indian and Pakistani governments to solve their differences through dialogue and search for a peaceful solution in Kashmir.
