PLO official Ahmad Tamimi told reporters that Trump’s proposals represent a US policy biased in favor of Israel and an illusion that implementing the Deal of the Century is possible without Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestinian state.

Israeli authorities on Wednesday approved plans for more than 1,000 new settlement homes in the occupied West Bank, the NGO Peace Now said, the latest in a raft of such approvals since Trump took office. The new homes include 370 units in the Adam settlement, where three Israelis were stabbed by a Palestinian in July, one fatally.
