(VOVworld) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday ordered the formation of a committee to follow up lawsuits to be brought to the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Israel in April.

Veteran Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat has been nominated chairman of the panel. The new committee will be headed by Palestinian Authority chief negotiator Saeb Erekat and include various figures from the Palestinian Arab political scene, intellectuals, and non-governmental organizations. According to Abbas’ decree, the committee is aimed at preparing all needed documents and records that the state of Palestine will present to the ICC.
