Palestinian to hold elections in West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza
(VOVWORLD) -Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced on Sunday that the Palestinian leadership insists on holding the Palestinian elections in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.

Abba's announcement was made during a joint meeting of the Fatah movement's Central Committee, the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and senior security chiefs in Ramallah. Abbas said that the Palestinian elections will be held in all Palestinian territories.
The last Palestinian legislative elections were held in 2006, when the Hamas movement won an overwhelming victory and dominated the parliament of the Palestinian Authority (PA).
