(VOVworld) - Paraguay President Horacio Cartes lauded Vietnam’s socio-economic development on Wednesday, saying the two countries have potential for expanded cooperation, especially in trade.

While receiving Vietnamese ambassador Nguyen Dinh Thao who presented his credentials, Cartes proposed that Paraguay and Vietnam work closer together as a way to celebrate 20 years of diplomatic ties next year.
Ambassador Thao said both sides have developed fine political relations. He highlighted Vietnam’s determination to broaden relations with Paraguay in all fields, particularly in trade and culture. Both sides will review the implementation of previously signed agreements.
