Party Central Committee Secretariat hosts get-together of retired senior cadres
(VOVWORLD) -Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong chaired a conference in Hanoi on Wednesday to inform retired senior cadres of the socio-economic situation, security, defense, foreign policy, Party building, and the fight against corruption.

The Party leader said that although the past year witnessed global complexity and domestic uncertainties, the Party Central Committee, the Poliburo, and the Secretariat mobilized the entire political system, united the Party, people, and army, and led the nation towards major achievements. Trong added that the recent 5th plenum of the Party Central Committee approved 3 important resolutions on creating momentum for economic growth, restructuring the economy, and reforming the growth model. The Party leader said he hopes the former Party and State leaders will continue to contribute to the common cause of the Party and the nation and the implementation of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress for national construction and defense.
