Party Chief and President receives credentials of foreign ambassadors
(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong on Friday wished the new ambassadors of Spain, Iran and the Philippines to well perform their role, bridging the friendship and cooperation between their countries and Vietnam.

Receiving the ambassadors’ credentials on Friday in Hanoi, the Party General Secretary and President said 2020 was an unprecedented year with raging COVID-19 pandemic and the world is entering the first days of 2021 with new hope for stability, safety, and recovery.
According to Mr. Trong, despite challenges, Vietnam has recorded important achievements in almost all fields. Just in a few days, the 13th National Party Congress will open. This is an important political event of the Party, State and people of Vietnam and a milestone in the development process of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the country.
The Party Chief and President affirmed that in order to achieve strategic goals in the coming period, Vietnam needs effective cooperation and valuable support from friends, partners, and the international community. Vietnam attaches great importance to developing friendship and cooperation with other countries, said Mr. Trong.
