Party chief meets voters ahead of year-end National Assembly session
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has assured voters that all of their opinions and comments will be forwarded to the National Assembly for consideration.

Mr. Trong made the remark during a meeting with Hanoi voters on Monday ahead of the National Assembly’s year-end session slated for this month.
Regarding the replacement of President Tran Dai Quang who passed away last month due to a serious illness, Mr. Trong said: “The Party Central Committee has unanimously nominated its General Secretary as the candidate for the presidency. The move has won public support. However, the National Assembly will be the decision maker”.
Mr. Trong reiterated that all Party members, particularly Party leaders must set an example.
The upcoming National Assembly meeting will take place from October 22 to November 20. Lawmakers are scheduled to pass 9 bills and debate 6 others including revisions to the Anti-corruption Law and the Education Law.
