At their meeting in Hanoi, General Secretary Lam acknowledged the efforts of the Ambassador and the US Embassy staff in effectively delivering high-level agreements and cooperation agendas within the framework of the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Vietnam always pays attention to creating a favorable investment environment, supporting foreign and American enterprises to expand cooperation and investment in Vietnam, maintaining the momentum of balanced, harmonious economic relations and sustainable growth.

Ambassador Knapper said the Trump administration values the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Vietnam. A "strong, independent, prosperous, and self-reliant" Vietnam is a positive contribution to peace and stability in the region and the world and is something that the United States always supports, he added.

Applauding Vietnam's recent practical measures in promoting harmonious and sustainable trade relations, the Ambassador added the Vietnamese market is offering many opportunities for US products and services and he will work harder to effectively implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
