Party General Secretary receives Cuban Ambassador
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has received Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén, Ambassador of Cuba, who came to greet him on the 55th anniversary of the historic meeting between President Ho Chi Minh and leader of the Cuban revolution Raul Castro.

At the meeting on Friday in Hanoi, Mr. Trong congratulated Mr. Guillén for being trusted by the Cuban Party and State and assigned the task of Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam. He reaffirmed the unswerving solidarity and brotherhood between the Party, State and people of Vietnam and the Party, State and people of Cuba.
The Party chief affirmed that Vietnam continues to work side by side with Cuba in the process of updating the socialist socio-economic model, oppose the embargo against Cuba, and treasure the efficiency of cooperation between the two parties and two countries.
The Cuban Ambassador respectfully conveyed the best wishes and cordial greetings from First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President Miguel Diaz-Canel and from General Raul Castro to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam.
The Ambassador pledged to do his best to actively and effectively contribute to the consolidation and development of the special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba.
