Party General Secretary Truong Chinh was born on February 9, 1907 in Xuan Hong commune, Xuan Truong district, Nam Dinh province. He joined the revolution when he was 18 years old.

Party leader Truong Chinh’s revolutionary career was inseparable from Vietnam’s glorious struggle for national liberation. He was an exemplary communist with a simple, upright, public-spirited lifestyle and empathy for the people.
