(VOVworld) – Candidates for the National Assembly election in Hanoi’s constituency number 1 met with voters in Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, and Tay Ho districts on Friday and Saturday to present their action plans.

In his address, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said the Party and state will continue to focus on sustainable growth, settling bad debt, consolidating the Party and the political system, preventing corruption and waste, ensuring national defense and security, protecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and creating a peaceful, stable environment for development. He said each National Assembly deputy should listen to the people and serve as a bridge between the people and the National Assembly, the Party, and the state. He acknowledged voters’ opinions, which he said will supplement his program of action.
