(VOVworld) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong attended the Great National Unity festival which marks the 86th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18) in Phat Tich hamlet, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province, on Sunday.

Mr. Trong said he was happy to see the local people’s lives improving. He praised the local Party committee, administration, Fatherland Front, and people for their spirit of solidarity and achievements. Party leader Trong called on them continue implementing the program of all people staying united to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas, contributing to national construction and development.
Mr. Trong delivered gifts to cadres and people in Phat Tich hamlet. He also offered incense and planted a tree in Phat Tich pagoda, a special national cultural and historical relic site, where Vietnam’s Buddhism originated from.
