Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong meets Prince Charles
(VOVworld) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong returned to Hanoi on Thursday successfully concluding his official visit to the UK. Earlier, the Party leader met with Prince Charles at the Clarence Palace where he highly appreciated the UK Royalty’s sentiments for Vietnam and the Prince’s role in boosting the bilateral ties.

The Party leader reiterated that the Vietnamese Party and State leaders and people always respected the relations with the UK considering the UK an important partner and a priority in Vietnam’s foreign policy. Prince Charles expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in agricultural, aquaculture, and forestry development as well as in environmental and wildlife protection.
During Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to the UK, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the Vietnamese delegation discussed with Senators and guests from UK research institutes, universities and ministries the situation in Vietnam and the outcomes of the country’s renovation process.
