Party leader says political report must crystallize the Party's wisdom

(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said the preparation of documents for the 14th National Party Congress, with the Political Report at the center, plays a guiding role for other documents of the Congress. Therefore, he added the Political Report must be made in a scientific, serious, innovative way, and must fully reflect national renewal practices and ensure Congress’s success.

Party leader Trong, who leads  the Documents Subcommittee, addressed the Subcommittee’s first meeting held in Hanoi on Friday. Among the meeting attendants were President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue.

The Documents Subcommittee is one of five subcommittees established to prepare for the 14th National Party Congress scheduled for January 2026. The Documents Subcommittee is responsible for drafting the Political Report and the Report summarizing 40 years of renewal to be submitted to the Congress.

General Secretary Trong emphasized that the 14th National Party Congress will be an extremely important political event and a major milestone on the country's development path, which has future-oriented meaning.

“The Political Report of this National Party Congress must be a scientific work that crystallizes the theoretical level and wisdom of the entire Party, the beliefs and aspirations of the entire nation, reflecting objective reality and new movement trends of reality. Pay attention to clarifying which guidelines and policies have been confirmed by reality to be correct and appropriate, and which need to continue to be renewed, supplemented and developed.”

The General Secretary emphasized that the Congress documents, including the Political Report, are the product of collective wisdom, so democracy must be promoted and there must be participation and contributions from agencies, departments, ministries, localities, associations and individuals.
