Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong addressed the working session with An Giang leaders

At a working session with leaders of An Giang on Sunday during Mr. Trong’s 2-day visit to province, he urged for greater efforts to mobilize people, ensure defense and security, and boost foreign relations. The Party leader applauded An Giang’s proposals on transport connection, land erosion prevention, climate change adaptation, agricultural development, and assistance for border localities. He said An Giang, which has experience in agricultural production, a large population and coverage, and revolutionary tradition, plays an important role in the Mekong Delta.

On Saturday, Mr. Trong paid a working visit to My Phu commune in Chau Phu district, presented gift to Heroic Mother Le Thi Tai in Long Xuyen city, and visited newly built Cao Lanh bridge over Tien river.
