Party official congratulates Catholics, Protestants on Easter
(VOVworld) - Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai on Monday extended greetings to Catholic and Protestant dignitaries and followers in Ho Chi Minh City on the upcoming Easter celebration. At a meeting with Archbishop Bui Van Doc, Ms. Mai said she hoped Catholic followers would be united and respond to patriotic emulation movements thus contributing to national development. Archbishop Bui Van Doc praised the Party and State’s attention to the Catholic community.
“We hope that the relationship between the authorities and religious dignitaries and followers will continue to improve. We will join hands to develop our nation,” Doc said.
Ms. Mai visited Mr. Le Duc Thinh, an outstanding Catholic follower in Tan Hung ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Thinh was the first Asian to receive the Grand Cross Knight title by the Pope.
