(VOVworld) - Ha Thi Khiet, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, praised the Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam (BSV) Monday for its contributions to national development.

Madam Khiet made the statement at a meeting with Buddhist dignitaries and monks on the occasion of Buddha’s birthday.
She said that over the past 2,000 years of existence in Vietnam, Buddhism has demonstrated that it is a patriotic religion, standing side by side with the Vietnamese nation and people.
Khiet expressed her belief that Buddhist monks and followers will continue their tradition of contributing to a prosperous, democratic, fair, and civilized Vietnam.
She called on Buddhist monks and followers to actively join emulation movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, thus contributing to socio-economic development, security and order, national sovereignty, and solidarity.
