(VOVworld) – People’s access to quality healthcare services will be ensured, said Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien referring to the revised Law on Health Insurance on the Sunday program “people ask, minister answers”. Minister Tien said: "The revised Law on Health Insurance puts people’s interests, especially poor people, above everything. Revisions include regulations on compulsory health insurance for everyone.  Another new feature of the law is that sick people in rural localities would be automatically transferred to central hospitals with their health insurance fully paid."

According to Minister Tien, the healthcare sector will carry out a number of reforms, including simplifying administrative procedures and opening more check-up rooms for greater patient convenience. The Ministry of Health has also set up a hotline for people to handle people’s complaints and denunciations.
