People-to-people diplomacy contributes to national development

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has gained many important achievements in post-COVID-19 recovery and socio-economic development, becoming an attractive destination for foreign investors, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan said Tuesday.

At a meeting with representatives from the diplomatic corps, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations on the occasion of the Lunar New Year holiday, she said she hopes that this year diplomatic agencies, international organizations, and NGOs will continue to cooperate with Vietnam for sustainable and prosperous development.

On behalf of the Working Committee on Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations, Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc pledged to continue to help international organizations, partners, and NGOs effectively deploy humanitarian aid programs in Vietnam.

Palestinian Ambassador Saadi Salama, head of Palestine’s diplomatic corps in Vietnam, expressed his belief that Vietnam will fully tap people-to-people diplomacy and continue to collaborate with diplomatic corps, international organizations, NGOs, and peace lovers all over the world to create a world of equality, prosperity, cooperation, peace, and sustainable development.
